Colleen Spratt is a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner who holds a doctorate (DNP) from Columbia University.
Are you feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or just not like yourself lately? You’re not alone—and you don’t have to go through it alone. As a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC), I specialize in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating a wide range of mental health conditions including anxiety, depression, mood disorders, ADHD, and more.
I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with nearly 10 years of nursing experience across medical, surgical, and psychiatric settings. Before becoming an advanced practice provider, I worked extensively at the bedside, where I developed a strong clinical foundation and a deep appreciation for patient-centered care. These experiences continue to inform my practice today — grounded in empathy, thoughtful assessment, and respect for each individual’s lived experience.
I earned my Master’s degree as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from New York University, where I received advanced training in psychotherapy and psychopharmacology. In my current role as a nurse practitioner, I support individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, adjustment-related concerns, career uncertainty, and complex family or social stressors. I am especially passionate about women's mental health including premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD) and perinatal mental health.
I am a double board-certified family and psychiatric/mental health nurse practitioner. As a Family and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, I believe that healing begins with understanding. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you can share your story without judgment and work toward meaningful, lasting change. I provide individualized, evidence-based care for adults facing depression, anxiety, PTSD, bipolar disorders, ADHD/ADD, and sleep disorders.
I began my psychiatric nursing career after graduating from Columbia University School of Nursing in 2009. Several years later, I pursued an advanced practice degree, also at Columbia University, and earned a PhD. I lived in Poland and France before I arrived to the United States at the turn of this century. Given my international experience, I work in three languages: English, French, and Polish. I offer therapy and medication management and the clients and me decide on the best approach.
