I have dedicated my career to walking alongside people through some of the most challenging chapters of their lives. My work focuses on helping individuals manage and heal from anxiety, depression, and the profound challenges of grief and loss. With over two decades of clinical experience, I’ve learned that true support means meeting people where they are—with compassion, respect, and a deep understanding of their unique struggles.
In my practice, I provide a safe and grounded space where clients can explore their pain without fear of judgment. Whether someone is overwhelmed by anxiety, weighed down by depression, or grieving the loss of a loved one, I guide them in developing resilience, cultivating self-compassion, and rediscovering a sense of hope. My approach integrates evidence-based interventions with a genuine belief in each person’s capacity to grow through hardship.
Helping people find light in the darkness of grief, calm in the chaos of anxiety, and strength in the depths of depression is not just my profession—it’s my calling.
Hello and nice to meet you!! A little about me is that I graduated from UC Berkeley and USC and have worked for many years serving clients across the mental health spectrum. Dr. Way is a licensed clinical psychologist with extensive experience working with individuals. Her interventions are heavily rooted in behavioral therapy and evidence-based practices, including feminist and attachment theories. She conceptualizes clinical presentations from a multicultural and social justice perspective. While Dr. Way employs empirically validated treatments to ignite change, she also believes that there is no single story to any individual. Consequently, it is essential to understand the social, cultural, political, and spiritual context of each individual. Dr. Way works with mood-related disorders like anxiety and depression, as well as helping neurodiverse individuals begin to unmask and live authentically.
My journey into mental health began with a deep interest in the intersection of human behavior and emotional resilience.
I enjoy working with adolescents and adults going through life transitions and experiencing trauma. My current practice includes individual treatment helping adults with anxiety and depression, self-esteem/confidence, grief, trauma and life transitions.
Finding a therapist with whom you connect with is important.
Over the past 14 years, I have worked in a variety of settings, including private practice, community clinics and public school settings. These experiences have shaped my belief that therapy is not a "one-size-fits-all" process, but rather a collaborative partnership built on trust and evidence-based strategies.
I hold a Master of Social Work from California State Long Beach as well as a Bachelor of Social Work from Azusa Pacific University.
