I graduated with my Masters of Science degree with a major in Clinical Psychology from Barry University. My practical training began at Family Counseling Services of Greater Miami. I have also gained invaluable crisis care and intervention experience working with adults and adolescents at a Crisis Services Unit. My work at a private psychosocial rehabilitation organization allowed me to gain additional proficiency working with adolescents and adults with severe and persistent mental illness.
I am a psychiatric nurse practitioner working with adults from diverse backgrounds. I provide warm, affirming, and direct care, with a collaborative approach focused on understanding each person's goals supporting meaningful , sustainable progress. My priority is creating a safe and supportive space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered in their care.
My path to becoming a mental health provider grew out of a combination of personal experience, professional curiosity, and a deep desire to help others feel empowered in their own lives. Early experiences with trauma shaped the way I understand healing, resilience, and the importance of having support during life’s most overwhelming moments. While challenging, those experiences ultimately planted the seed for what would become my career.
I am deeply interested in the ways people adapt, survive, and make meaning out of hardship. This led me to pursue formal training in trauma-informed care and evidence-based therapeutic approaches, along with a commitment to ongoing continuing education. Over more than a decade of practice, I have supported individuals navigating trauma, addiction, anxiety, depression, family violence, grief, and major life transitions.
I bring over 13 years of experience since graduating from Boston University, and throughout my career I’ve had the opportunity to work with both children and adults. Today, my focus is primarily on supporting adults navigating life’s stressors and transitions, including anxiety, depression, and trauma. As a bilingual and bicultural therapist, I understand how culture and language shape our identities and the way we experience the world. Together, we’ll work to identify what truly helps you feel better and move forward in a way that feels authentic to you.
I have been providing counseling services to individuals, couples and families since 1999. I hold a Master's degree in Counseling, am a Certified Sex Therapist, and have specialized training in treating depression, anxiety, and trauma as well as fostering healthy relationships.
I know life can be really challenging at times. It’s not always easy. As one journeys through life, there comes a time when we all need the love and support of someone who cares. For this reason, it has always been my passion to help those who are in need of that love and support. With a non-judgmental attitude and a heart of compassion I aim to meet you where you are. My hope is to walk alongside you in an effort to help you achieve your therapeutic goals
"More than just listening—real tools for real change."
You shouldn’t have to walk out of therapy wondering, “What was the point of that?” But far too many people do. I can’t tell you how often I hear, “My last therapist just nodded and listened... but nothing actually changed.”
That’s not how I work.
Therapy with me isn’t about endlessly rehashing your past without a plan. It’s about creating real momentum. Yes, I’ll listen deeply—because your story matters—but I won’t stop there. Together, we’ll identify the patterns that are keeping you stuck, and I’ll show you exactly how to challenge them with evidence-based tools that work in the real world, not just in theory.
Every session is designed to give you something solid: a breakthrough insight, a practical strategy, a new way of seeing yourself that leaves you feeling just a little more capable, a little more hopeful, and a lot more empowered.
This is therapy with traction. We’ll get into the hard stuff—but we’ll also focus on what’s next. I’ll help you build skills to regulate your emotions, navigate relationships, set boundaries, quiet that inner critic, and stop repeating the same frustrating cycles. You don’t have to settle for simply surviving. We’ll work toward something better: clarity, confidence, and real change that lasts beyond the therapy room.
