My clients should know that I am an open person and not a "blank slate" therapist who will share nothing about himself. If you have questions about me, go ahead and ask! I understand the importance of boundaries, but I think it's nice to know each other at least to a certain degree. I am a gay man, and much of many of my clients are members of the LGBTQ+ community.
I am a bilingual, Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the area of Miami. I provide counseling services online and in-person to children, teens young adults, adults and couples. I will help you deal with negative thoughts, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, substance abuse, family-parental problems, stress management, depression and self-esteem issues.
I will assist you with strengthening your relationship with yourself and others around you.
I practice a client-centered approach which offers you a gentle, welcoming and safe place to explore your goals.
I speak Turkish and English and I am very familiar with Islamic, Catholic and Buddhist and Kabbalistic beliefs. I am an immigrant and have lived in the United States since 1994
I am very sensitive to cultural backgrounds. I treat all my clients within their cultural values. That means nobody can hear anything offensive from me. I practice Ahimsa which means no harm in Buddhist belief.
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I have spent the last eight years working with “at-risk” children and adolescents, referred by the Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) Diversion programs. I currently work with the Genesis Women’s Clinic assisting antepartum and postpartum moms suffering from Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorder, the Family Care Clinic providing Behavioral Therapy to families and adults, and the Pediatric Clinic at TGH Healthpark.
I received a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Fort Lewis College, a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Social Science from the University of South Florida, and a Master’s in Social Work (MSW) from USF. My therapeutic approach is influenced by my clinical training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.
