I want to help my patients reach the optimum level of mental health to function in their daily lives.
I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 9 years of medical & behavioral health social work experience supporting a wide range of issues including life transitions, health issues, grief, caregiver stress, and emotional challenges. As an LCSW, I take a whole-person approach - recognizing that our mental health is shaped not just by what's happening inside us, but also by our relationships, environment, culture, and life experiences.
My name is Kathleen Wright and I am an LCSW in Hunterdon County, NJ. I have been practicing social work for over eleven years and graduated from the University of Southern California with my MSW. I truly love listening and learning from people. I believe strongly in helping those around me and am looking forward to working with you.
Couples, Families, Children & adults will find a safe place in my office or by telehealth. Specializing in couples counseling, trauma, caregiving, divorce (family, couple and individual), PTSD, life coaching, stress reduction, career transitions, children/teens and mental health "tune ups". I am here for situations where you may need a little help, as well as long term therapy. My office and screen is a Confidential and No Judgement Zone.
For over 20 years, my career has brought me into the homes and the personal sessions with a diverse clientle. There is nothing that you cannot say in our sessions and there is no obstacle too big that we cannot address. We will both work to meet your goals and achieve self wellness. You will find empathy, a partner and an open mind in your journey.
As a compassionate and experienced therapist, my mission is to support individuals through some of life's most challenging experiences, including loss, acute and chronic illness, trauma, life transitions, caregiver burnout, depression, and anxiety. With an extensive background in healthcare and hospice, I understand that these difficult circumstances can leave you feeling overwhelmed, isolated, and unsure of where to turn. My approach is grounded in empathy, understanding, and evidence-based therapies to help you find clarity, healing, and strength as you navigate these challenges. I specialize in helping individuals cope with the profound emotional and psychological impact that these experiences bring.
I have 10+ years of experience working with preteens, teens, and adults in both clinical and non-clinical manners. I began my career as a therapist working at and developing a clinical program within a public school system. Additionally, I worked for a company which provided Intensive In-Community (IIC) Services for youth and families in Bergen County. These career opportunities have rewarded me with a wealth of knowledge in areas of anxiety, depression, ADHD, family and peer conflict, school avoidance and life transitions for preteens, teens, and even young adults.
