I’m committed to helping you make meaningful, lasting changes in your life. I work actively and collaboratively, helping you understand what’s getting in the way and supporting you in building the resilience and clarity you need to move forward. You’ll find me engaged, compassionate, and deeply invested in your growth. I welcome individuals of all races, religions, sexual orientations, and gender identities, creating an inclusive and affirming space where everyone feels seen, valued, and supported.
I have extensive experience with trauma in individuals from adolescence to late adulthood. I believe that trauma looks and feels different to every person. Two people experiencing the same exact event will have different outlooks and understandings of it. A traumatic event can take many forms. I want to help you pick up on where your thoughts, feelings and behaviors come from, even if you have never experienced “trauma”.
I have been working in the field of social work/ counseling for three decades. I am approachable, non-judgmental and believe that everyone has something special about them. At times life's challenges cloud our ability to believe this and darken our outlook on life and ourselves. I enjoy helping my clients see their worth and live a happier life. I also grew up with a sister with significant developmental delays and autism. My childhood definitely cultivated my desire to work in this field, while also giving me first hand experience about the challenges of being a sibling to a brother or sister with special needs. I have worked with many children and teens who may be struggling with a similar family dynamic.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Ecotherapist with extensive experience supporting individuals, couples, families and groups. I believe every person has the capacity for growth, resilience, and healing. I also hold a systems and climate-aware perspective, working to support clients within the challenging times / systems we are experiencing. My clients include those who are navigating life transitions or experiencing challenging emotions, i.e. anxiety, depression, loss of purpose, grief, or identity confusion. I also see couples who may be struggling with conflict or communication challenges.
I have spent my life studying patterns of human behavior and seeing how I can use this knowledge to help others. I am intensely curious about people and their struggles and was well trained in my graduate studies at NYU to understand the person within all of the systems they are in; family, status, culture, race, gender, income, generational family history and more.
