I want you to know that when you come into therapy with me, you don’t have to pretend, minimize, or hold everything together. You get to show up exactly as you are — overwhelmed, hopeful, exhausted, confused, motivated, or anything in between. We take it from there together.
My favorite part of this work has always been sitting with people one‐on‐one. That’s where real connection and real healing happen. I genuinely enjoy getting to know who you are, what you’ve been carrying, and what you’re hoping might feel different.
My style is warm, steady, and honest. I listen closely, ask thoughtful questions, and help you understand the experiences and patterns that are shaping your life. I’m also practical — I like to offer tools and strategies you can actually use in your day‐to‐day life, not just in the therapy room.
I work with people dealing with anxiety, stress, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, major transitions, and substance use concerns. But most importantly, I work with people who feel stuck or weighed down and aren’t sure how to move forward. Everyone deserves a space where they can breathe and be supported.
Something I tell clients often is this: I don’t want you to just feel better — I want you to be well. Feeling better can be temporary. Being well means building insight, healing, and lasting change.
My goal is simple: to help you feel safe, understood, and supported as you find your footing and move toward what’s healthier and more meaningful for you.
My philosophy in mental health counseling is rooted in the belief that change is always possible. Drawing from my 20 years of experience in physical rehabilitation as an occupational therapist, I bring a holistic and body-based understanding to mental health treatment.
I have over 25 years of experience in the mental health field. This experience includes 12 years as the Commissioner of Mental Health in a county in New York. This work included responsibility for mental health, alcoholism, mental retatardation (as it was called at the time), forensic mental health and family court.
I specialize in short term treatment or CBT(Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) with Adults.
I also believe I have the experience to work with women of color navigating the work field. I've written a couple books re this experience.
I'm active in my community as well as living a healthy lifestyle. I also love to travel.

"To be more fully connected is to be more fully oneself" Hi, I am a bilingual (Mandarin) therapist in NYC and surrounding area with over 13 years of clinical experience supporting children, couples, and families. My client-centered approach is warm, compassionate, and tailored to each individual’s needs. I have worked with diverse populations in child welfare, psychiatric centers, and the education system, helping clients navigate challenges such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, OCD, Selective Mutism and relationship issues. My goal is to provide a safe and supportive space where clients can explore their experiences, gain clarity, and find greater meaning and fulfillment in life
My clients see me as warm, relatable, and easygoing. I completed my Master's in Mental Health Counseling at SUNY New Paltz in 2016 and have been working directly with clients of all backgrounds ever since.
I firmly believe one of the bravest things you can do is begin to understand your own story.
