I received My Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health Science because I care so much about the Earth and the creatures that inhabit it. But I soon realized that if I was not interacting with people (or animals) that the work I was doing seemed irrelevant.
Then caring for my terminally ill stepmother led me first towards nursing, then to Social Work.
Since getting my MSW, I have worked In a wide variety of settings ranging from domestic violence shelters to a medical hospital to a homeless day center. I believe that despite our varied backgrounds and beliefs, we are all good at the core and want to be physically and emotionally healthy in order to make the most of our lives. Some of us have learned bad habits by being told, or telling ourselves, that certain things are not possible or us and that is rarely the case.
I am a cisgender, white, heterosexual female living on the occupied territories of Cherokee land, committed to anti-oppression and equity. I approach life with curiosity, warmth, and a deep belief in transformation. Authenticity, humor, and meaningful conversations matter to me. My work—whether in nature, crisis settings, or the therapy room—has always been driven by a passion for deep connection and lasting change. Outside of therapy, I find joy in community, exploring big ideas, and embracing the small moments that make life meaningful. I believe healing happens in connection, and I strive to show up as my full, imperfect, human self in every interaction.
Great to meet you!
Life is quite complex being challenging, if not scary at times. It also brings to us beautiful, exciting and wonderful moments that we can celebrate. Whether you are experiencing taxing moments or need a safe place for self-exploration, I can provide a welcoming, nonjudgemental space to assist you with your needs. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I specialized in working with adults (age 18 and older). You are strong and courageous and I applaud you for taking this step to self love and acceptance.
I believe healing is possible, even after deep or prolonged trauma. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with extensive experience supporting girls and women who have been impacted by trauma, anxiety, OCD, and/or life transitions. My work is grounded in evidence-based practice, cultural humility, and compassion. I strive to create a space where clients feel emotionally safe, respected, and understood. For those who desire it, I also offer Christian-integrated therapy, thoughtfully incorporating faith and spiritual values in a clinically ethical and client-centered way. My goal is to walk alongside you with clarity, structure, and hope as you move toward meaningful and lasting change.
