I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with my previous clinical experience including working in hospitals, hospice, and mental health settings. I have experience working with end of life issues, and working with clients who are experiencing a divorce, break ups, separation and any life transitions. I have been a licensed social worker for 11 years.
Example: "I have always wanted a job where I was of service to others, but I didn't know how to channel that into a career until I took an introduction to psychology course in college. We learned a lot about mental illness, what causes it and different ways to treat it, which inspired me to pursue my degree. I loved the idea of helping others overcome mental illness and helping them achieve their life goals."
I believe therapy works best when you feel safe, seen, and not rushed. I offer a calm, supportive space to help you make sense of what you’re carrying and develop practical tools for moving forward.
I work collaboratively and at your pace, whether you’re navigating anxiety, burnout, life transitions, or past experiences. You don’t have to have everything figured out to start—I’ll walk alongside you as you build clarity, resilience, and a stronger sense of self.
I’m Ahrielle Jackson, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the founder of Beyond Vanilla Therapy. I specialize in creating affirming spaces for Black folks, kinky folks, and those exploring non-monogamy to release shame and step into pleasure, authenticity, and connection. My background blends years of clinical experience with a deep commitment to liberation, community, and safe exploration.
Please note, I do not accept insurance for couples therapy.
I have almost 20 years of experience working with couples and individuals of all backgrounds. Outside of this, I have quite extensive training in working with healthcare professionals, spirituality, and substance abuse. I hold my masters in both divinity and couple & family therapy, and am trained in postmodern clinical approaches.
