I am dedicated to creating a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel safe to pursue personal growth and healing. Through active listening and genuine rapport, I help individuals achieve their goals within a collaborative therapeutic relationship.
Hello, I'm Sarah, and I'm here to walk alongside you on your journey towards healing and happiness. With a compassionate approach rooted in my training from Sam Houston State University, I specialize in supporting individuals, teens, children, and couples through life's challenges. Together, we'll navigate the depths of trauma, anxiety, and depression, using gentle techniques like play therapy, EMDR, and Gottman Method Level 1.
I want you to feel safe, supported, and genuinely understood when you walk into therapy with me. My background blends creative arts, special education, and clinical mental health training, which allows me to see each client as a whole person—not just through a diagnostic lens. I’ve spent years supporting children, adolescents, and families through school counseling, crisis intervention, autism-related needs, maternal mental health concerns, and major life transitions.
Clients often tell me I’m warm, down-to-earth, and easy to talk to. I aim to make therapy feel both comforting and productive, giving you practical tools you can use right away. No matter what you’re facing, you won’t be navigating it alone—we’ll work through it together at a pace that feels right for you.
I am licensed in Texas, and currently work in a high school setting as my full time job. I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, LGBT-related issues, & depression. I am now trained in EMDR which is a great modality to help clients with trauma and PTSD live a happy and healthy life. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment.
Taking the first step to sign up for therapy can take courage and I am proud of you for getting started!
