Jackie specializes in supporting teens and young adults as they navigate life's challenges, such as anxiety, life transitions, and relationship dynamics.
I am a Army veteran and love helping people. I started this journey with my own mental health. I soon realized the power of this process. I did not realize I was always a counselor. It started as a Army Medic helping soldiers in Iraq and now I help everyone.
There are few things in life that are priceless, but mental health is one of them. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is one of trust, respect and alliance. As a licensed clinician, I believe that each of us has a responsibility, a duty, to become the best versions of ourselves. I also believe that as humans we already possess the tools and knowledge to achieve that goal. As your therapist, it is important to understand your therapeutic goals, your personal struggles, and to highlight the tools/gifts that you already possess. All of this is achieved through open and truthful communication, consistency, and respect. My goal is to accompany you on your journey to wellness.
My focus is to help you heal, energize, and become aware of how you want to define yourself. This is achieved through providing a client-centered environment while creating a treatment plan to move you toward feeling more self-love. I utilize techniques from solution-focused, cognitive behavioral, and narrative therapies to help you feel more comfortable and capable in your own skin.
If you are carrying grief, trauma, or going through a major life transition, you may feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to move forward. This can include experiences like loss, divorce, infertility, or other unexpected changes that have shifted your sense of stability. I help adults process difficult experiences so they can feel more grounded, steady, and able to move forward with clarity.
