Hi, I’m Ashlie Larimore, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida. I earned my master’s degree in counseling from Troy University and have spent several years working with children, teens, and adults in both outpatient settings and inpatient crisis care.
Because of my background, I’m comfortable supporting people through everything from everyday stress and overwhelm to life’s heavier moments. I especially enjoy working with individuals navigating anxiety, emotional regulation, ADHD concerns, life transitions, grief, and family or relationship challenges.
I believe therapy should feel supportive, safe, and real - not awkward, intimidating, or overly formal. You don’t need to have the “right words” or a clear plan when you start. Showing up is enough.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Certified School Counselor in the State of Florida. I have been working with children, adolescence, families, and adults for 26 years. I specialize in positive psychology, social emotional wellness, families and parenting, addiction, anxiety, stress, and wellness.
I’ve worked with adults, teens, and children for over 20 years, helping them heal, grow, and build the skills needed to become their strongest selves. I specialize in treating depression, anxiety, substance use disorders, and trauma. I focus on getting to the root of challenges while also identifying and strengthening your unique abilities. I believe lasting change happens when you feel truly seen, heard, and supported. I strive to create a safe, compassionate space where you can grow at your own pace.
This is a telehealth practice. As a personal choice, the use of narcotics or other controlled (DEA) meds are minimal, if any. I've been a psych nurse practitioner for at least 14yrs. I believe in managing conditions with psychiatric and non-psychiatric treatment modalities that are evidence based. The use of the least amount of meds, at lower doses that does the healing of symptoms, is an active process involving the client and based on the reported experiences. Safety is the core of my practice and my job is to help clients understand internal signals and how to prevent another crisis.
I have experience working in both inpatient and outpatient settings, which led me to discover my passion for working with individuals struggling with trauma, co-occurring mental health and substance use issues, and women's issues.
I am a License Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a Masters in Social Work from the University of North Florida. I currently live in St. Petersburg, FL, enjoy socializing with friends, gardening, going outdoors, listening to music, and have many other hobbies. My goal as a therapist is to help a client set up proper social support networks, give them an overall positive experience in therapy, and the tools to live an optimal life.
