Hi, I’m Lainy Peralta, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, proud Army veteran, and bilingual in English and Spanish. I help adults navigate anxiety and depression related to trauma or stress, as well as symptoms that arise from life transitions, abuse, loss, or grief, with a compassionate and down-to-earth approach.
I’m certified in EMDR, TF-CBT, Sand Tray Therapy, and Play Therapy, and am an approved provider for CPT (Cognitive Processing Therapy) for PTSD. I’m also trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS) Level 1 with the IFS Institute. My approach is both trauma-informed and strengths-based, drawing from evidence-based practices to support your healing and growth.
My goal is to create a safe, welcoming space where you feel truly seen, supported, and understood—a space where you can reconnect with your sense of safety, resilience, and self-worth. Together, we’ll work toward healing the wounds of the past so you can live more freely and authentically in the present.
I have experience working in both inpatient and outpatient settings, which led me to discover my passion for working with individuals struggling with trauma, co-occurring mental health and substance use issues, and women's issues.
I am a License Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a Masters in Social Work from the University of North Florida. I currently live in St. Petersburg, FL, enjoy socializing with friends, gardening, going outdoors, listening to music, and have many other hobbies. My goal as a therapist is to help a client set up proper social support networks, give them an overall positive experience in therapy, and the tools to live an optimal life.
I am a licensed clinician offering individual counseling services in-person or via telehealth for adults, adolescents, and children. I earned my master's degree in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling from the University of South Florida. I am also a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC). My experience includes working with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds across a variety of settings, including integrated behavioral health and primary care.
