About Marc Maccini, LMHC
Helping you find your voice and find your way.
If you feel "stuck"—whether in your career, your relationships, or your own skin—you aren't alone. Often, the path forward isn't about working harder, but about finding the right tools to navigate life with more confidence and clarity. I specialize in helping individuals break through those plateaus, develop firm assertiveness skills, and reclaim their sense of direction.
Background: I earned my Master of Education (M.Ed) from the University of Massachusetts and am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC). My background in both education and the arts allows me to bridge the gap between clinical expertise and real-world relatability.
With a Master’s in Counseling Psychology and over 6 years serving the Worcester community, I’m a licensed LMHC who brings warmth, curiosity, and a good sense of humor into the therapy room. I work with youth and families using a mix of modalities, and brief solution-focused approaches, and I’m especially committed to creating an open-minded, affirming space for LGBTQ+ individuals and diverse communities.
Kaitlyn is a passionate, attuned, liberation-oriented clinician and lifelong artist who brings a creative spirit to counseling whether through art-making in session or supporting clients to experiment with new ways of thinking and feeling. They are queer, trans, chronically ill, and neurodivergent and their lived experience informs their practice. Working from a lens of integrative trauma treatment, they utilize parts work, polyvagal practices, somatic informed practices, and mindfulness skills.
Hello, I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), currently licensed in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. I received my Masters from Boston College and have more than 10 years of Licensed Clinical Behavioral Health experience. My clinical background derives from psychiatric inpatient, corrections, outpatient services, family/school/ community-based programming, and emergency crisis services. Culturally sensitive, I am always eager to serve diversified backgrounds, ages and communities.
Throughout my experiences, I have worked with several diversified populations, which I take great pride in. These opportunities have allowed me to gain first hand experience in truly understanding the value in meeting others where they are. This has been one of the greatest lessons I've embraced as a Clinician.
I am passionate about helping people find strength and healing in difficult circumstances, with both lifelong issues and daily frustrations. I work to support children, adults and couples to feel safe in expressing themselves and living their lives to the fullest.
I bring a calm, steady, and thoughtful presence to the work. Clients often describe me as warm, gently humorous, and intellectually grounded. My practice is shaped by the teachings and wisdom of the Catholic faith, especially its understanding of the human person as a unity of body and soul, created for meaning and made for eternity. I find that many people of faith or traditional backgrounds want a therapist who respects those commitments and won’t dismiss or pathologize them.
I work especially well with anxiety, scrupulosity, family strain, and questions that sit at the crossroads of faith and daily life. I’m not drawn to trends or spiritual fads — I prefer a more timeless, human approach to healing — but clients of any or no religious background are also welcome. Above all, I want you to have a therapeutic space where you feel understood, respected, and able to explore the deeper parts of your story without pressure.
The decision to start therapy is a courageous one. I create an open and safe environment for you to embark on your therapeutic journey. In my practice I take a strength-based approach to help you learn and grow. I am interested in exploring who you are as an individual and helping you get where you want to be. Together I hope to build a respectful and collaborative therapeutic alliance.
I'm a proud BIPOC clinician and LICSW. I have an MSW with a concentration in Clinical Social Work and advanced clinical training in Multicultural Mental Health. In my private practice, I utilize a trauma-informed, culturally responsive, strengths-based, & collaborative approach to meet my client's needs. My ideal clients are individuals, couples and families from diverse, multicultural backgrounds. My specialties include trauma/PTSD, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, relationship issues, etc.
