I am an energetic and open-minded and goal-oriented therapist. My goal is to help clients understand their feelings, thoughts, perceptions and strengths. I have a MA in Counseling Psychology with 21 years of practice. I have knowledge in working with behavioral challenges, parenting skills, anxiety, grief and depression. I have worked in Intensive Outpatient, Outpatient and school settings. My work experience includes working with children, adolescence, couples and families.
I’m someone who’s easy to talk to—warm, open, and without judgment. Over the years, I’ve walked alongside individuals, couples, and families as they’ve faced a wide range of challenges, and it’s been an honor to hold space for their stories. I deeply consider how our pasts—our upbringing, our relationships, our support systems—shape the way we experience the world and ourselves. My approach is both grounded and practical, yet gently focused on finding meaningful, real-life solutions. I believe healing happens not just through insight, but through connection, presence, and hope.
As a compassionate mental health therapist, I find it important to focus on empowerment, understanding emotions, and overcoming obstacles throughout life’s journey. I have experience with trauma focused care, adjustment to change, and stress management through holistic approaches. I am a clinically licensed social worker with 6 years of higher education, past experience as a family and youth advocate, a direct care worker for children’s behavioral health, and 3 years working with adults seeking mental health support. Remember, you are not alone and you matter!
I've been a therapist for the past 8 years. I've found asking help to be one of the hardest things a person can do in life. For those who are ready to ask, I'm ready to be the person to help you. I emphasize creating a safe environment and adapting to what my clients need.
I am a board certifies Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with a master's degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University, and Doctoral degree from Chamberlain University with experience working in both inpatient and outpatient setting.
