I have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing therapy to adolescents, adults, seniors, couples, and families for 23 years. I understand that life has many challenges and maintaining our mental health through our struggles can lead to stability & emotional fulfillment. Reaching out for help during difficult times is courageous, so thank you for taking this first step.
I earned my MSW from Rutgers University after changing from Engineering to Psychology during my undergraduate years. I primarily focus on trauma work but have a wide-ranging skillset and have worked with chronic pain, depression, anxiety, grief/loss, identity issues, relationship and communication issues, and more. I have worked with a variable population, of multiple genders, sexual orientations, races, and cultures; I am also LGBTQIA+, ENM, and kink affirming/supportive.
I’m a proud New Yorker, born and raised in the vibrant projects of the Lower East Side of Manhattan. Growing up, I witnessed firsthand how the environment can both uplift and burden the mental well-being of individuals and their families. As an Afro-Latina, I firmly believe that seeking a culturally sensitive therapist is crucial for clients to feel heard and supported during their journey.
If you're looking for a therapist who not only listens and really gets you, but also actively participates in conversations with you throughout sessions, and offers feedback or guidance as appropriate--I may be the therapist for you! I specialize in working with LGBTQIA+ clients; clients who are experiencing challenges in relationships (such as with a partner, friends, family, coworkers, etc.); and clients who are moving through changes or transitions in life. Whether you’re navigating "adulting" for the first time, redefining a relationship, coming out, exploring spirituality, grieving a loss or break up, adjusting to an empty nest, or learning how to show up in life as your true authentic self--I'm here to walk beside you on your journey!
with 15 years of experience in mental health, I lead a muti-clinician practice of caring professionals dedicated to providing personable, compassionate, solution focused, care. My staff and I take pride in providing services through meaningful connection and research driven approaches.
I have years of experience working with youth, adults and families during times of heightened crisis and uncertainty. Specializing in stress management, anxiety, depression, relationship issues and trauma .
