With over 22 years of experience in social work, I offer a calm, supportive, and practical approach to therapy for teens and adults navigating stress, anxiety, life transitions, and emotional overwhelm. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I believe therapy works best when clients feel genuinely heard, respected, and supported.
Much of my professional background has been in the public school system, where I worked closely with children and adolescents using brief, solution-focused therapy, emotional and practical support, and advocacy. This experience allows me to connect easily with teens while also helping adults—especially parents, caregivers, and professionals—navigate challenges with clarity and confidence.
I earned my Bachelor of Social Work from the University of North Texas and my Master of Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington. My therapy style is warm, collaborative, and strengths-based, with an emphasis on practical tools, insight-building, and helping clients feel more grounded in their daily lives.
Whether you are a teen feeling overwhelmed by school or social pressures, or an adult managing anxiety, burnout, or life changes, I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental space where growth feels possible and progress feels attainable!
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified EMDR Therapist, and a Sex Offender Treatment Provider. My background includes working with individuals that need help with trauma, relationship issues, anxiety, sexual issues, and depression. My primary approach to treatment is integrating Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Schema Therapy, as well as EMDR therapy for trauma specific treatment. I also integrate other modalities to fit the client's needs and treatment goals.
It’s not always easy to talk about what you’re dealing with, especially when you’re used to handling things on your own. I work with adults, children, and teens who are navigating stress, emotional challenges, and life situations that feel hard to manage alone. For adults, this might look like anger that comes out unexpectedly, difficulty expressing emotions, pressure to stay strong, or feeling disconnected in relationships. For children and teens, it can show up as behavioral issues, school struggles, or difficulty managing big emotions.
I have dual Master’s Degrees in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Education. My background in education consist of teaching elementary and middle school children, which allows me to connect with children and adolescents very easily. I also have worked with parents and guardians to overcome hurdles associated with parenting and kinship care.
I became a therapist to be safe space for people who didn't feel like they had one. I earned my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy so I could be equipped to help couples navigate their struggles and be that safe space for anyone who needed it. No one should feel like they have to do life alone.
